Angular & Parallel Grippers
(DURA-Grip)

DURA-GRIP Part Placement Devices are designed to provide a low cost gripping unit for use on transfer mechanisms. These air operated units grip parts internally or externally offering the designer a wide latitude in finger tooling arrangements.

Available in two or three finger grip models, DURA-GRIP units are ruggedly constructed with a minimum of moving parts. Utility tapped holes permit mounting the unit from the top or the side with additional cap styles for dovetail mounting. These same holes can be used to mount "stripper" devices too.

The body is anodized high strength aluminum, fingers are hardened tool steel. Maximum pressure, 100 psi. HD heads are available in all sizes of the GH series. These heads' toggle linkages are arranged to have the inward motion of the finger occur on the full (bore) side of the piston.

The air actuated Parallel Grippers are self-centering, and allow a single finger design to handle a "Family of Parts", various sizes and or diameters. The fingers are fully guided through the entire stroke.

The fingers are thru hardened and ground tool steel. They are actuated by a sleeve roller, running in a 45¡ groove. The sleeve shaft is double end supported.

DURA-THRUST LT Series of Linear Thrusting Devices provide industry leading quality and
durability for automatic working positioning/holding. The LT series is designed for high demanding
applications where precision and durability are required.

 

FEATURES

DURA-THRUST LT Series is internally powered by fully field repairable air cylinders. The slide
bearings are oil impregnated bronze bushings. Rods are bolted to the end blocks to assure positive
location and rigidity. Adjustable shaft mounted locking collars with nylon bumper pads allow
easy setup and provide low noise level minimizing the clatter inherent in fast acting slide devices.
Furthermore the entire LT series is sensor ready.

 

Escapement Devices (DURA-SCAPE)

Feed Escapement Devices - Two finger isolation, escapement.

DURA-SCAPE BC Series Escapement Devices are designed to isolate parts at the end of feed chutes or raceways to facilitate individual feeding of parts. These air-operated devices provide positive part control by forcing one finger to always be in contact with the parts. This process eliminates any possibility of jammed parts and multiple feeds.

Bi-Directional Placement
(DURA-TRANS)

Bidirectional Transfer Device provides a practical low-cost method for automatic work positioning. The unit is extremely compact and eliminates the need for complex, expensive work positioning mechanisms. The DURA-TRANS unit that provides the horizontal motion has been tested under actual operating conditions with up to 160 million inches accumulated travel with negligible wear.

 

QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
The main blocks on both sides move on slide bearings of oil impregnated bronze bushings which eliminate the need for relubrication. Bronze bearings are utilized rather than linear ball bearings because the bushings distribute the load over a larger surface area. This results in infinitely less wear on the slide rods. All rods are pinned to the end blocks to assure positive fastening. The nylon bumper on the main slide contributes to a low noise level to minimize the clatter inherent in fast acting slide devices.

 

MOUNTING INFORMATION
DURA-TRANS units can be mounted in any plane with the main block in the main slide used as the support. The end block is provided with tapped and drilled holes for mounting appropriate stripper tooling.
